Welcome to UCSD's ECE109 !

This is a rigorous electrical engineering class which makes extensive use of calculus and discrete mathematics. If you are serious about doing well in this class, you are highly encouraged to make sure you are at complete ease with these math topics, as they will be used almost on a daily basis throughout the course. In particular you need to be able to use calculus very easily. Having gotten a good grade in calculus is not enough - you must be good at it now. As an example you will encounter such things as double integrals where you have to set up the limits and then solve it. This class assumes you can do that already and we will not review any calculus nor spend time explaining such routine computations.

Take a look at Problem Set 0 to evaluate your own background.

All homeworks and homework solutions will be posted on this web site, as will important announcements.

Good luck and have fun in ECE109 !
