LINUX -- Places to check for help on LINUX (emu, booby, finch, meltdown, riot, volcano):

There are documents under /usr/doc/ on each of these machines which appear to be package directories.

IRIX -- Places to check for help on IRIX (dodo, owl, lark, kestrel):

IRIX 6.3 (dodo): % help or % infosearch starts the SGI Infosearch help system.
IRIX 6.2 (owl): % infonav starts the SGI InfoNav help system.
IRIX 6.2, 5.3 (owl, lark) Use the Online Books item under Help in the Toolchest, or start the books with % insight -books
Graphical Release Notes: run % grelnotes to see menu-guided release notes for software packages.
